Goolwa CFS (Country Fire Service)

Goolwa CFS (Country Fire Service) is a volunteer run fire and rescue brigade serving Goolwa, Hindmarsh Island, and the surrounding roads and countryside.

Goolwa CFS is a brigade in the Mundoo Group (Goolwa, Pt Elliot, Middleton, Currency Creek, Mt Compass) located in Region 1 of the SA Country Fire Service. (see also Wikipedia's CFS entry)

Training night for members is Monday from 7:00pm (except public holidays)

To join, just come along to the station around 6:45pm on a Monday training night, and/or contact us at: station address in spamproof form .

Goolwa has in the past run a Cadet programme. Due to a lack of a Cadet Coordinator at Goolwa, we are referring cadet applicants to Currency Creek CFS.

In the last financial year, Goolwa responded to 120 incidents, accounting for 1,099 man hours of work. An additional 2,292 man hours were volunteered for non-incident activities.
